So this week I´ve decided to try to post an outfit or two, but boy oh boy, that´s easier to do when you´re a camera klutz...

This is me, sans makeup, the day before yesterday...

And look what a little lipstick and eyeliner can do ! ;) The dress is a vintage home made 50s ? dress. Had a bad hair day, so in went the hair in a net and a bandanna around.

Got ready to go out ( it was sooooo cold, no spring feeling at all...) and do a little shopping.

There was a little garage sale close by and this is what I found !

Today started with me getting this bottle in the mail ( I had ordered it) and finding out it was the size of a travel bottle of shampoo @ 30€ !! Well ... its supposed to make your hair amazingly shiny and very straight if you use it with a flat iron. So, I´m hoping that this stuff will bring fantastic health and beauty to my hair ! :) It should at that price...

Still today I wore my hair in a net again. ( Please excuse my messy bed...)

It turned out that this was the perfect hair to have when wearing a hat. Something I will try as soon as the weather permits.

One of my favorite blogs is The Vintage Kitten . I´m forever envious of all her little tasty treats
( not to mention that I play her effing music ALL the time while surfing other web pages) ... so ...

I decided to bake! Now, my mother would make Martha Stewart very proud, but that's not quite were my skills are...

Taadaa - thank God for pre-made cakes !! At least when they are so fresh like this apple crumble pie.

First the apples with some cinnamon ( no, I will not tell my mom I used ready made pieces of peeled apple... )

Then the crumbles...

Pop it in the oven.

While I had some baked fish and bean sallad - yummy!

And then ... Voila ! Yes,it did get a... little (little!) burnt...

So, it won´t show under som thick whipped vanilla cream... I just have to remove the basil leaves first... No, I did not have any mint leaves, who are you - my mother ?? ;)

All in all a good day !

Spring is here !

These last few days Spring has arrived here in the southern part of Sweden. Its been so pretty ! Also I´ve had a bit of a shoe splurge...



When Spring is in the air its good to take a stroll...

Another day I went down town to meet a friend for coffee and deiced to get all "made up" :)



Those of you with sharp eyes will notice that I´m wearing Bo&Beep... :) I love to bicycle ! And Neo quite enjoys it too ! He´s done it since he was a little pup.



Perhaps its the very notion of Spring that has made me aware of shoes... These were on sale at Topshop - 30€

These are my beautiful custom made shoes from Ghana. My fathers shoemaker made these for me - 50€ for the pair!!



These are an absolute find!! Modern shoes with a definite vintage look ! They are from Tamaris.



They are ever so comfy and they cost like 50€ !



They will work so well with anything 1940s or 50s so, I bought ... two pairs... ;)



And would you beleive it that very day when I went for coffee I found these at the same place...
Once again , modern yet very retro and only 60€ !


I will NOT leave the house for a good two weeks - every time I do I ... shop something!!!

One another note :

One of the cool things about being away for a longer period ( especially if you´ve had someone staying in your home for that time) is that unwrapping your old things is a bit like Christmas even though its soon April :) But better yet is that you suddenly get to see just how much old junk you actually have... Today Ive been merciless and have thrown away lots of stuff including loads of faded old t-shirts. There are only so many old t-shirts you can wear to the gym.

And speaking of that I went to the gym early this morning and did a good workout - yea! I´ve always thought women who wear cute things to the gym, vain and not ready to do the work... But there I was in the "Only women room" working out, all by myself, in a ...yep, you guessed it... faded t-shirt doing dumbbell curls in front of the mirror when suddenly I thought - " It would be nice to do this exercise in a cute topp"... ;)
