I always wondered how people could let a whole month (or more...) pass by before they blogged.
I mean a few words ? How hard can it be ?
Well... very hard it turns out...
My last post was mid-January, then the work load just got heavier and heavier and I did not have the energy nor time to sit down and blog.
Also my vintage passion seemed so trivial, when I was struggling with more mundane worries. Everyday was another lesson in patience and endurance ...
On weekends I tried, if possible, to get out of town and relax a little, preferably by the sea.
I have learned so much! And even though it was one of the greatest challenges I´ve ever done, I would do it all over again! And the best part... our show was a huge success !
We opened on 6th March ( Independence Day) with two shows. A day time performance that was free for children and an evening opening night show. In the daytime 1500 children came - it was more a rock concert than theatre !

The play has now been on a first tour in 5 cities and 8500 people have seen "Cinderama - The African Cinderella" so far ! :) And now the show is coming to Sweden for a month! I´m so happy to be able to see my little "family" again!
I have made so many friends and have truly come to love Ghana! So much in fact that I want to try and make a life for myself there, as well as Sweden... This is something I never thought would happen in my life, but then again Life seldom turns out like you expect it to do... ;)
And so, I left Ghana with much heartache and went home. To Sweden, who had experienced one of the worst winters ever... And I went up north to pick up Neo who had thrived in all the snow and ice. Of course I got sick... with flu and had to stay in bed for a few days...
This Saturday I finally stepped into my own apartment after almost three months away. Within minutes my whole place was a mess with suitcases, laundry and trying to find misplaced objects that my previous tenants had placed ( I sublet my apartment while I was away) somewhere.
At one point I feared that my love of all things vintage had disappeared in Ghana all together... But then yesterday evening I went on Blogger and started reading a little. Seeing your posts ( as well as buying some vintage looking shoes these last few days ;) quickly brought my passion back to life! :)
So, dear Vintage Lovers out there. It will take some time before I´ll be able to make my rounds ( I have a lot of catching up to do...) but its so good to be back!
Much love ! Diva
Ps. I even gave myself a "blog makeover" - what do you guys think ? :)
