Swedish summer and and some packing ...

I´ve been taking a few pictures with my hippstamatic app. on iPhone and feel quite nostalgic looking at them. They remind me of my childhood summers ...

On Friday I´m off to Paris ! This is the invitation to my cousins wedding.

And this is my luggage ... I might have to do some re-packing. I´m only allowed 23 kg...

But what about my hats ?

And I´m definitely bringing this. Did I tell you I bought a ukulele ! I´m planning
a little something for the reception and have been hard at work rehearsing...

The dressing room of Dita von Teese. Look at all those hats !

Dita wearing something "more comfortable" ... The peacock !!

I don´t know if it was the pictures I saw of Dita von Teese or the fact that I was going to Paris soon and had "nothing to wear", either way it was time to go vintage shopping ! And I got lucky, really lucky ... Both when I went with my friends daughter, Anna and later on during the next two weeks when I went by myself.

We went to this great weekly flee market.

Where they have both furniture like this beautiful piece...

... or this garden sofa with armchair and table. But I came for the clothes and ... hats!

A modern wrap dress with a vintage "feel".

A beautiful homemade dress from the 1950s ( which is my backup dress for the wedding! )

Isn't the material just divine! Then there were all kind of tops ...

Beaded white wool cardigan.

A 1980´s glitter top w. padded shoulders ( thank God for the 80s! :)

This amazing bird to wear on a hat or in your hair ( se above ) !



This green "tweedish" jacket.

Pretty "stuff"; a green silk purse for jewelry, a bag for slippers (that I will use for lingerie), a velvet purse, a blue brooch, white long gloves and black short ones

This neat warm wool cover.

The flowers that were on the straw hat. I will wear them as a colorful corsage on a black jacket.

The absolute find of these two weeks - these two sun umbrellas from ca. 1930s ! The black one is in velvet with embroideries and the other one is a cotton print.

The handles are carved wood. I don´t think I dare take them outside, but will instead use them as decorative pieces.

Couldn´t resist this little manicure set with buffer and all. The little holder is for nail paste.

Some pretty porcelain and crystal glass. The top bottle is now in my bathroom with Moroccan Rose Bath oil.

Teacups for my vintage tea dream! The Japanese set is six cups and saucers and the blue dotted set is 8 cups, saucers and small plates.

I just fell in love with these ! Pepper and salt dispersers.

More tops.... Champagne silk blouse.

Pink and white stripped cotton blouse.

A pretty floral blouse.

Black wool jumper with bead work.

And this ( sorry for the fuzzy picture ...) my future lounge wear, an Arabic around-the-house-dress! :)

It was two amazing weeks of vintage shopping ! I ended not buying the Heyday pants - but instead I got myself a whole new wardrobe for 1,740 SEK or 174€ or 213 USD. I´m happy I did that choice !
